Integrating ICT for The Global Understanding Program

While, at all the times, teachers have been looking for new ways to enhance the quality of learning.
During the last decade, teaching English with the integration of new tools has been of special interest to many researchers. In this sense, ICT tools receive a particular attention when adapted to education. One of the supports of the distance learning is videoconferencing which is widely applied in the Global Understanding course launched by East Carolina University. In this article, we will try to shed the light on the way the GU course has been adapted by Tlemcen university of Algeria, and describe the tools that have been added for this very purpose, with the pros and cons when it comes to teaching English as a foreign language.

The Author(s) represents and warrants that the Work: (a) is the Author(s)’s original work and that Author(s) has full power to enter into this agreement; (b) does not infringe the copyright or property right of another; (c) contains no materials which is obscene, libelous, defamatory or violates another’s civil right, right of privacy, or is otherwise unlawful; and (d) has not been previously published, in whole or in part. Author(s) shall indemnify and hold Publisher harmless against loss or expenses arising from breach of any such warranties.
