Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently before another English-language journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  • The manuscript is free of plagiarism and all sources are cited properly.  Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The manuscript file is formatted with single-spaced, 12-point font. Illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end of the manuscript.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • Follow the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review.

Author Guidelines

As part of the submission process, authors will check the manuscript's compliance with all of the following items.

1.      The manuscript has not been published previously in English, nor is it currently before another English-language journal for consideration.

2.      The manuscript is free of plagiarism and all sources are cited properly.

3.      The manuscript has been checked for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and for clarity of expression.

4.      The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.

5.      The manuscript file is formatted with single-spaced, 12-point font. Illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end of the manuscript. In all other respects, the manuscript follows guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition). 6.      All sources in the manuscript are properly cited. Where available, URLs for the references are provided.

7.      An abstract of 150-250 words summarizing the main points and purpose of the paper is included.

8.      The body of the manuscript is between 2000 and 4000 words.

9.      The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review (http://gpejournal.org/index.php/GPEJ/help/view/editorial/topic/000044) have been followed.

10.  Each author of the manuscript has submitted a brief autobiographical sketch which includes full name and institutional affiliation, current e-mail address, and a biographical sketch of no more than 150 words.

Note that the first author is responsible for informing all co-authors, in a timely manner, of manuscript submission, editorial decisions, reviews, and revisions.
